I first started looking at Belize about 20 years ago because of its fantastic reputation for sailing and scuba diving. I’ve since learned though that this still undiscovered paradise is the perfect playground for active people with varied interests. In addition to water sports, exploring ancient Mayan ruins and observing the plethora of wildlife in the Belizean jungles is a unique opportunity you just won’t find in many places in the world. Not to mention being in a safe and English speaking country. I don’t hesitate in recommending it though you better do your due diligence now. Belize is where Costa Rica was 10 years ago in terms of real estate prices and is set to sky rocket.

Thanks for the great article. I have traveled and lived in the Caribbean for many years and Belize is all that plus the incredible jungle. I have visited twice and am still out of breath with wonder.
