Casa de Campo Resort is the location of one of best resorts in the Caribbean!

If you have read any of my past postings  about what is happening in the real estate opportunities in the Dominican Republic, you know I am a raving fan!  The DR is not a secret anymore to the world travelers who want an amazing experience of Caribbean culture, luxury resorts, world class golf courses, and GREAT cigars.  The DR is now known for its beautiful beaches and some of the most friendly people welcoming you to their tropical paradise.

“Los Altos”  is a 116 unit ultra-luxury one, two and three bedroom villas and lofts development within Casa de Campo Resort.  They even have a concierge service that takes care of EVERY detail of your Caribbean experience – from booking travel, hotels, transportation, and even grocery shopping so your kitchen is stocked when you arrive. ( Wouldn’t be great if they could rent out this service at our full time homes? )

Here is an example of what is included in the two-bedroom / three-bath / 2,533 sq.ft. lofts:  swimming pool, completely furnished, and even a garage door opener!  This limited edition luxury property is right in the middle of the DR’s best golfing, spa and resort amenities in the Caribbean, and features some over-the-top gardens, and even an optional private pool.  All of the Los Altos villas have breathtaking views of the Dye Fore golf course.  I have heard from many golfers coming off the links that there is not a more beautiful site in golf than to finish a round and watch a Caribbean sunset at the 18th hole of this course,  which is actually perched at the top of the resort’s highest point!  You will be blown away by this finishing hole.  OK, so what is the price?  How about a fractional ownership price of $200,000, to $795,000 for a full ownership!  WOW!  What an opportunity for a primary home or a part time get-a-way!

AND, Los Altos is located right next to Altos de Chavon, a gorgeous replica of a 16th century Italian village, with shops, restaurants, and many cultural attractions.  In fact, in the village there is even a 5,000 seat open-air theater!  The concert schedule they are planning is world class!  Casa de Campo Resort has already won the Travel & Leisure Magazine’s   #1 “Family Friendly Resort In The Caribbean!”, plus, the #1 “Golf Course In The Caribbean”!  Casa de Campo Resort is one of the very special Caribbean paradises!  What a place to have your “home away from home”!  Los Altos’ villas and lofts are just a few of over 1,200 private villas at the 7,000 acre resort with outstanding amenities to satisfy clients with the most discriminating tastes.

Owners of Los Altos villas and lofts enjoy ALL of Casa de Campo resort’s amenities and services.  And, there is even MORE!

  • Equestrian center!
  • Tennis courts!
  • Sailing facility!
  • World class full service spa!
  • Poolside lounges!
  • Three championship golf courses; Teeth of the Dog; the Links, and Dye Fore!

And, even MORE!  So, what are you waiting for?  Contact me today  for more information!  The DR has become one of my Top Five favorite Caribbean destinations!  Until next time…your Caribbean lifestyle detective is exhausted from the work required to bring these great opportunities to your favorite Caribbean website.  OK, so I am just kidding!  This “old dog” is having the time of his life!

Jim,
Great job on this property. Casa De Campo is certainly the Benchmark for resort developments in The Dominican Republic and the Caribbean. Just about every new development out there has Casa De Campo in the back of thier mind when they start thier design process.
Over the past couple years there have been even more additions to Casa De Campo. The Four Seasons Resort has broken ground, the 6th golf course is under construction, there is a new multi Cinema, supermarkets, restaurants and designer shops. It might be one of the oldest in the Caribbean but it certainly will always be one of the best! Golf….Nothing compares! Teeth of the Dog is still one of the “Worlds Best”. and just when you thought there was just one thing missing, a brand new 40,000 sq ft casino just opened 15 minutes away and Casa De Campo has a FREE shuttle every day until 2 am.

I know I dont have to tell you about the Cigars!
I spend several months a year at Los Altos and I consider it my 2nd home.
There is no sign of slowing down.
When should we meet there?

Hey Craig,
I am not sure where you are right now in the world, but I am getting the impression we need to coordinate our schedules. I have enjoyed the DR everytime I have been there, but I have never met you there. And, yes, you are correct. Casa de Campo is the benchmark of the most amazing development in the Caribbean. One of it’s benefits is that so many aspects of it have matured and actually feel a part of the land instead of just a brand new building going up. I was unaware of the casino. What a great addition. I wish I owned the shuttle business. Enjoy your day, wherever you are! Until next time.

Jim,
I am currently on the shores of 7 mile Beach in Grand Cayman. I will be in The DR at the end of the month from the 20th to the 28th. Can you get there?

You are too funny. I wish I was where you are right now. At the end of the month I am on our family’s annual surfing week before college starts for all three of our kids. We can pick another time, however, my travel schedule is a bit over the top until December. Until next time…

Hi Jim,
Another great posting about the sunny Caribbean!
The Dominican Republic is absolutely the Caribbean’s new hot tourist destination and it looks like you have been at the top of the list of raving visitors.
Casa de Campo is phenomenal and I have just been doing some research about the Marina and Yacht Club that was inaugurated in 2001 and designed by Italian architect Gianfranco Fini.
Marina Casa de Campo has lots of shopping, fantastic restaurants and bars, a great yacht club with sailing school and a little tidbit I found interesting… with its new expansion completed in 2006 it included a shipyard that is the largest in the Caribbean.
Lot’s of great stuff at Casa de Campo all adding to the attraction to visit….or stay!

Look forward to hearing about your next Caribbean Paradise location.

Hi Courtney,
Thank you so much for highlighting the Marina Casa de Campo. I did not have enough room in my article to go into more depth regarding ALL of the incredible amenities awaiting the owners of luxury property within the Casa de Campo Resorts’ 7,000 acre complex. What has been developed at the Marina the past seven years is “world class”. The sailing community that is a part of my world LOVES the DR and what has happened with the expansion project creating this wonderful destination. Look for my next articles about the jewels I continue to find. BUT, I must say, Losa Altos and Casa de Campo is one of the BEST in the Caribbean. Fair winds to you…

Hi Jim, I was fortunate enough to have recently spent a couple of weeks in The DR. There was such a diversity of things to do and see and the people were so friendly and helpful. I loved Altos De Chavon at Casa De Campo. It is an amazing replica of a 16th village with shops, restaurants, lovely grounds and a huge amphitheatre where they have music. I also made my donation, but with hours of fun, at the newly opened casino. They also have a sports bar there. This is a great way to share information so I’ll have other ideas for my next trip back! Debbie

Hi Debbie,
Thanks for checking in, and thanks for your “donations” to Altos de Chavon! The DR is still an undiscovered treasure with most of the visitors to the Caribbean. It is a mixed bag to have the DR getting into the spot light – more crowds at our favorite spots. But, I can’t resist to alert the world to this amazing country and to Los Altos and Casa de Campo. Again, thanks for checking in. Until next time…fair winds.

How you think when the economic crisis will end? I wish to make statistics of independent opinions!

Jim Walberg on December 15th, 2008 at 7:33 pm #

Here is my opinion…the economic crisis will end when the foreclosures have run through our economy, and the credit for homes over 750,000 is loosened up at bit. The rising unemployment crisis in our country may become one of the biggest issues of 2009. So, for a date as to when the economic crisis will end…maybe by the first quarter of 2010.
