Thanks for checking in, Jill. Forget the Euro, the Canadian dollar is also at recored highs. Any purchase you make in the Caribbean that has a U.S. dollar currency base will be like shopping where there is a "sale" in progress. There are many real estate alternatives for you to consider. I would be glad to engage in an expanded conversation. Email me at Jim@JimWalberg.com

Thanks Tom you are really good resource of actual information as was mentioned above. Working as a West Toronto I was also searching for some property in Caribbean parts. Problem is that my business is quite affected by the crisis and my budged is tight right now. But I am still thinking for the future. I think that there is one more reason why Europeans are so attracted. Euro is on historical levels now and it is still expected to be stronger.

Tom, you continue to be such a resource of information about the benefits of owning property in the Caribbean and especially Belize. Thanks again for your input and for following our efforts to get the word out to the world about how one can own a piece of Paradise, and enjoy the experieces I have had in this region of the world I love so much. Until next time...fair winds.

Jim:

Right on, AGAIN! Caribbean real estate is getting hotter. The beautiful thing is that this is NOT A FAD, i.e. there are very solid reasons why the Caribbean is developing . . . Ease of travel with non-stop direct flights, excellent resorts with all the creature comforts & ammenities (especially South Beach Belize that you mentioned), continual connection to the world via Internet, Cell, Fax, cheap web-based international long distance with local U.S. phone number (Skype). Why wouldn't you live a few weeks or months out of the year with blue seas and sky, waving palms, tropical climate, scuba diving and fishing year-round? Evidently no reason why not - people are coming to the Caribbean! Thanks for your informative and educational web site!
